Papas: When the kids in the neighborhood squabbled, we had no adults to step in and referee our dispute, correct our behavior or make us say or do anything, so we worked out our differences. If you wanted to remain part of the group, you simply had to negotiate and compromise - in essence you learned to "play well with others."
