Daily Journal: How did you prepare and train to become a neutral?

Romero: On the bench, I ordered mandatory settlement conferences in every case set before me, without any exceptions - thus, practice, practice, practice. I conducted MSCs for a five-year period, handling probably one to two MSCs per day. I had no other training other than this "on the job" training.
