Daily Journal: How did you prepare and train to become a neutral?

Weinstein: As a trial lawyer with the federal public defender's office and in private practice, I saw firsthand how juries reacted to and weighed evidence in a case. That time helped me understand that there is more than one way to view evidence. My time on the bench only reinforced this for me. I prided myself on being a judge that people could rely on to be a "settlement judge."
