LOS ANGELES — Retired judge Joyce Karlin Fahey's specialty is leaping over tall stacks of banker's boxes in a single bound.
In addition to her work as an arbitrator and mediator with ARC, Fahey serves as a discovery referee, where her special skill is moving aside reams of motions that have little useful information so she can get directly to the core of a conflict.
