"When you're a litigator, you are looking to win. Winning is the important thing," said Marlin, who worked for 43 years as a trial attorney. "As a mediator, you're looking to bring people together. I don't need to win today. I'm old enough that winning doesn't matter. Seeing people satisfied that their case is over, that matters."
