The John M. Langston Bar Association held its annual officer installation and awards gala Saturday in downtown Los Angeles. George L. Mallory Jr. was named lawyer of the year, Blair Underwood received the community service award and Magic Johnson Enterprises and Foundation received the corporate service award.
