SB1162: New Pay Transparency Obligations for California Positions

The California Civil Rights Department will enforce noncompliance of the reporting requirements by seeking a court order against an employer who does not report as required.

Effective Jan. 1, 2023, SB1162 is intended to provide wage transparency regulation in an effort to promote pay equity.
