Tesla's trade secrets case against rival Rivian likely headed for trial

Superior Court Judge Theodore C. Zayner expressed concerns about the adequacy of Rivian's investigation into two former Tesla employees who it recruited.

Tesla Inc.'s trade secrets theft lawsuit against Rivian Automotive Inc. appears headed for trial after a Santa Clara County judge on Wednesday "expressed concern" that Rivian had not sufficiently investigated or disciplined recruits hired from Tesla who were accused of misappropriating Tesla documents.
