Former CNN anchor may have difficulty proving claims against X Corp.

The dispute stems from Lemon's $1.5 million verbal agreement with Musk and X Corp. which would have given the platform exclusive rights to post his content before other outlets.

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon sued Elon Musk and his social media platform, X Corp. in San Francisco County, claiming breach of contract, fraud, and misappropriation of his name and likeness in relation to Lemon's canceled, X-exclusive talk show. The decision to include misappropriation claims was atypical, and they will likely prove easy for X to defend, according to an intellectual property expert.
