EEOC files age and ethnic discrimination suit against tech giant HCL America

The company is accused of going so far as to tell its recruiter to relax the job qualification requirements to find non-Indian applicants, according to the agency.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accused HCL America Inc. Friday of failing to hire a man because he was older and of South Asian descent.

HCL America Inc. is a subsidiary of the Indian tech giant HCL Technologies.
