CHP disputes Alameda DA's assertions on case referrals

District Attorney Pamela Price said just 11 "CHP surge" cases had been referred to her office. A CHP representative said that the real figure is in the hundreds.

The California Highway Patrol disputed assertions by the Alameda County DA that patrol officers sent by Gov. Gavin Newsom to try to quell crime in and around Oakland had yielded just 11 cases.
