Texas' new business court system may be a factor in Chevron's move

The new system is not specific to the oil and gas industry, but energy lobbyists worked hard to pass the bill.

Could Chevron Corp.'s move to Texas have less to do with California and more to do with a new business friendly court being set up in Lone Star state? Last year, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed HB 19, creating a specialized business court system. The new system is scheduled to open next month.
