Online streaming service Hulu LLC has sued the City of Sacramento, claiming it unlawfully imposed its Communications User Tax on digital television services.
The complaint was filed Wednesday by some of the same attorneys who sued the City of Lancaster in 2021 over a similar tax. Those plaintiffs, led by Netflix Inc., won in a case upheld on appeal in May.
