The family of Melyda "Mely" Corado, an innocent bystander killed in a 2018 Los Angeles Police Department shooting, has reached a $9.5 million settlement with the city of Los Angeles after six years of litigation. The settlement is the largest pre-trial payout by the city involving an LAPD shooting, the plaintiffs' attorneys said.
