What prompted you to go into ADR? After 20 years on the L.A. County Superior Court, which were the best and most productive years of my life, I wanted to do something different both professionally and personally. ADR met my needs.

Most difficult case: Settling claims arising out of what was then the largest Ponzi scheme in California history.

One piece of advice for new ADR professionals: Prepare and prepare, i.e. to have a thorough working knowledge of everything presented, to think about the questions you want to ask the parties and to have a plan for settling the case.
