The 1st District Court of Appeal on Friday ordered a San Francisco plaintiffs' lawyer to pay his former co-counsel $92,000 in attorney fees.

The fees stemmed from an unsuccessful defamation suit Waukeen Q. McCoy brought against Kenneth Walczak of Rosen, Bien & Galvan LLP.

McCoy argued that Walczak's attorney fee request was untimely and excessive, but the 1st District, in an unpublished opinion, rejected his appeal. The case is McCoy v. Walczak, A129671.
