Hon. Rebecca Westerfield (Ret.) has been a full-time JAMS panelist since 1992. Rebecca has arbitrated and mediated thousands of disputes, both domestic and international, including those involving class actions, business and commercial matters, real property, shareholder agreements, business dissolutions, alleged unsuitable investments, employment, health care, catastrophic personal injury, professional malpractice and insurance policies. She has been acknowledged consistently by the Daily Journal as a top mediator in California, received the SFTLA "Mediator of the Year" award, was nationally recognized as an "ADR Champion" by the National Law Journal, and was elected as a Fellow to The College of Commercial Arbitrators. Rebecca has been repeatedly selected as a "Super Lawyer" in ADR and "Best Lawyer" in ADR and has presented trainings on ADR in Asia and Europe. She is particularly adept at dealing with matters that involve cross-cultural dynamics and high emotional content.
