Judge Milton has 24 years judicial experience, having served 19 years on the Los Angeles Superior Court; 5 years on the former Los Angeles Municipal Court. He has been in his present position as a mediator, arbitrator, private judge, and discovery reference with ADR Services, Inc. since April, 2014. Judge Milton presided over numerous jury and bench trials including professional malpractice, personal injury, breach of contract, real estate, complex business litigation, government entities, probate, commercial/residential landlord tenant, as well as intentional torts for fraud, harassment, adverse employment actions involving protected classes, and defamation. He handled law & motion calendars that included motions for summary judgment, hearings on demur, motions to attach, quash, dismiss, strike, Anti-Slapp, and new trial motions. During his final years on the bench, he served as settlement judge for the North Central District.

Judge Milton has been an active real estate broker since 2008. As such, he is able to assist parties in resolution of real estate matters with efficiency and precision.

Judge Milton strongly believes that whether a matter involves a complex multi-party dispute or is of limited jurisdiction, they deserve the same degree of dignity, should be handled with utmost care, and the parties should be given the full opportunity to litigate their positions. Judge Milton received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law during January, 1978; ADR Certification from Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution; Pepperdine School of Law, 2009.

He also served as Assistant Chief Trial Counsel with the State Bar of California, Chief Assistant Prosecutor, Indianapolis, and Deputy District Attorney, Los Angeles County. Judge Milton was a guest lecturer at Beijing University, "Survey American Justice System" and The Chinese Bar Association (Shenzhen, China), "Legal Ethics" 2008.
