Glenn Barger serves as a Mediator and Special Master with ADR Services, Inc. He is regarded as one of California's most well-respected litigation attorneys and has served as lead counsel at multiple long cause, multi-party, complex trials and mediated countless bodily injury, professional liability, real estate, subrogation, inverse condemnation and construction matters throughout California. He also brings a complete understanding of indemnity to assist the parties in resolving issues between co-defendants to the benefit of all parties. Mr. Barger is a Past President of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel and is an avid proponent of promoting civility and ethics between the parties and is highly respected by attorneys on both sides of the bar. He brings these attributes to the mediation table in order to help the parties achieve resolution. He also helped create the CAALA/ASCDC/LA-ABOTA Annual Joint Litigation Conference and worked with the Los Angeles Superior Court Judges and leaders of CAALA and ABOTA to develop and implement the current successful Mandatory Settlement Conference program in the Personal Injury departments. He is also a regular speaker at industry-related events including CAALA Las Vegas and the ASCDC Annual Seminar. While recognizing that each side has different interests, based on his experience as an attorney, he understands that it is the parties and their attorneys action and mediation so he focuses his efforts from initial pre-mediation discussions through the exchange of the closing documents, on a mediation process and settlement that ultimately satisfies the parties and their counsel. He also utilizes his experience as counsel to help both sides recognize the strengths and weaknesses in their cases, including a solid understanding of coverage issues, so that the parties can reach settlements in complex matters.
