A hearing to consider the confirmation of San Diego County Superior Court Judge Truc V. Do to the 4th District Court of Appeal will be held Jan. 14.
For the first time a Commission on Judicial Appointments hearing will be virtual and available to the public at large. It begins at 10 a.m. and will be streamed on the California Courts Newsroom webpage at www.newsroom.courts.ca.gov.
The three members of the commission considering Gov. Gavin Newsom's appointment of Do are: California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye, state Attorney General Xavier Becerra and 4th District Court of Appeal Justice Manuel A. Ramirez.
Do was appointed to the superior court by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2018.
Before that, she was a partner at Jones Day and at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP.
She was also a deputy district attorney in Los Angeles County.
