Gail A. Glick has earned a reputation for having a respectful and straightforward demeanor with an evaluative and facilitative approach. One attorney commented, "Gail was well-prepared and helped to bring an emotionally charged case to an equitable resolution. Her investment of time with the plaintiff truly was time well spent."
Prior to joining Judicate West in 2020, Ms. Glick spent 26 years representing plaintiffs and defendants in litigation of employment law matters. During her litigation career, she also served as a private mediator, as well as on the Los Angeles County Superior Court's ADR panel and CRASH employment case settlement program. Ms. Glick began her litigation career defending employers, and then she practiced at her own law firm before co-founding Alexander Krakow + Glick LLP in 2009, where she remained a partner until 2020. She currently co-chairs Judicate West's Employment Practice Group, along with mediator Dan Turner.
On her career, Ms. Glick says, "In litigation, I believed that my clients were best served by resolving their disputes early -- prior to the emotional and economic devastation of participating in a trial or arbitration on the merits. Now, as a full-time mediator, I can help the litigants take control of their lives by making peace for themselves, their businesses, and their families through a mediated resolution."
Ms. Glick has served on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Labor & Employment Section for nearly 20 years, and she was Chair of the section in 2018. For the past several years, she has served in various executive roles on of the board of directors for the Disability Rights Legal Center. She is also a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
