O'Melveny & Myers • Menlo Park
Eric Amdursky co-leads O'Melveny's labor and employment practice. With a wealth of experience spanning more than 25 years, he has handled a wide array of legal matters, including high-stakes trade secret/noncompete cases, executive compensation and harassment/discrimination litigation. His experience extends to conducting sensitive investigations into workplace misconduct, such as sexual harassment, trade secret misappropriation, whistleblower complaints and more.
"Apalla Chopra has been a tremendous mentor to me," Amdursky said. "She recruited me to join O'Melveny directly out of law school and ultimately to focus my practice on labor and employment law. Apalla always serviced her clients with the highest degree of professionalism. She deftly balanced focusing on complex, technical legal issues while understanding the bigger business issues and broader legal consequences when advising clients."
His recent work includes securing a favorable resolution in a recent lawsuit filed on behalf of a multinational consumer products company in a high-stakes labor and employment matter.
In addition to his litigation prowess, Amdursky has overseen several highly-sensitive investigations concerning allegations of sexual harassment against executives. His approach has helped clients, including their boards of directors, to fully investigate claims, take appropriate remedial actions, ensure no retaliation, and facilitate dispute resolution or working relationship adjustments to foster a productive way forward.
"In each of these cases, I have to litigate against highly capable opposing counsel who are experts in the underlying subject matter, whether it be sexual harassment, whistleblower, trade secret or restrictive covenant disputes," he said. "These matters are often investigated and litigated on an expedited basis, require intense factual investigations and preparing and opposing complex briefs."
