SAN DIEGO - Blake Bilstad made his move in-house in the thick of the dot-com boom and hasn't looked back.

After practicing for several years as corporate lawyer at Cooley Godward, Bilstad took a job at then two-year-old MP3.com Inc. in 1999.

He stayed with MP3.com and the company's subsequent acquirer, Vivendi Universal, until 2004 when he joined Provide Commerce, which owns various e-commerce companies, most notably online flower retailer ProFlowers.
