FULLERTON — For Judge Thomas J. Lo, who came from a liberal family that enjoyed helping people, becoming a public defender for 23 years seemed like a good fit.
His father, a Chinese immigrant, was very influential in his decision.
“He was a very kind man,” Lo said. “I wanted to give something back to the community, like my father did.”
