BELLFLOWER — Having worked for two decades as a juvenile dependency attorney, Commissioner Jenny Cheung Marino had her work cut out for her when she was assigned to a criminal court.

“Sitting in a criminal assignment was a steep learning curve in the beginning,” said the Los Angeles County Superior Court jurist. “But I’m a hard worker so I’m constantly trying to read up on case law and statutes.”
