While she initially wanted to be a city planner, the college years of Superior Court Judge Wendy L. Wilcox drove her to a legal career.
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in sociology at UCLA, Wilcox took a class called “History of Urban Planning.” The instructor encouraged her to continue at UCLA and enroll in graduate school, majoring in urban planning.
