VISALIA — Ricky Tripp grew almost 4 inches after he graduated from high school.

Now a Tulare County Superior Court judge, Tripp said he was “a pretty good high school wrestler.” As anyone familiar with the sport knows, one of the most challenging aspects is making weight for the next match. Tripp said he often lost 10 lbs. to 15 lbs. in the days before a competition to make his 132-lb limit.
