SAN JOSE — Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Julia L. Alloggiamento grew up proofreading deposition transcripts for her mother, who ran her own business as a court reporter.
Her father was a juvenile offender probation officer, and the young Alloggiamento had a penchant for drama in high school. The only thing she lacked, the judge recalls, was that she “just didn’t have a singing voice.”
