Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Julie G. Yap is a self-described "procedure nerd" who enjoys the behind-the-scenes legal process.

The Supreme Court fellowship program in the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, which she completed in 2012, was an invaluable experience for learning how the courts run.
