VISTA - In Japan, there is a traditional repair method - kintsugi - where broken pieces of pottery are put back together and painted with gold, thus becoming a unique work of art.

"I am that," said Judge Daniel Segura. Or at least that is what Segura hopes to achieve when handling his San Diego County family law assignment. "I hope I am not tearing people down but building them up," he explained.
