      RIVERSIDE - As an attorney, Riverside Superior Court Judge Douglas E. Weathers chased down big verdicts and settlements in personal injury cases.
      So when his first judicial assignment was a criminal calendar, he said he "wore out the phone line" calling his bench colleagues with questions.
