LOS ANGELES -When Josh Fredricks was a kid, his father, a Hermosa Beach lawyer, came home every day from work to take a nap.
      "He never missed a baseball game I played in," Fredricks said of his dad.
      It was the type of life Fredricks expected when, at a young age, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps.
