SAN DIEGO — "I've become more comfortable in being uncomfortable," said San Diego County Superior Court Judge Timothy R. Walsh, explaining how he has evolved as a judge.

Walsh was a deputy district attorney in the county for 13 years until Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed him to the bench in 2005.
