SAN FRANCISCO - Courtroom drama got an early grip on Circuit Judge Barry G. Silverman of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Silverman, 58, has been a judicial officer for almost three decades in the Arizona state courts and as a U.S. magistrate judge. President Bill Clinton handed him a federal appellate robe in 1998. He keeps chambers in Phoenix but often flies to California to sit on oral argument panels.
