BELLFLOWER — Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Deborah Sanchez is a frequent employer of deferred entry of judgments, saying she'd rather assign an alternative sentence than jail time.
That's what she felt was appropriate in a recent misdemeanor case involving a man selling puppies under eight weeks old, which is illegal.
