A year ago, U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Fogel traded his San Jose bench for the director's chair at the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C., the education and research arm for the federal courts.
Still, he gets back to the Northern District every two or three months to juggle a few of the cases he's retained on his docket because, he said, he was reluctant to saddle another judge with them. ... (continued)
