      SANTA MARIA - As a young lawyer, Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge James F. Rigali decided that working in a big firm in a big city was not for him.
      So in 1991, Rigali quit his job as an associate at Burke, Williams and Sorensen in Los Angeles and headed for Santa Maria with his wife, Anne Rigali.
