      SANTA ANA - Ronald L. Bauer knows that many lawyers supported his application to be an Orange County Superior Court judge 15 years ago, when he was a commissioner. He just doesn't know which ones.
      "They circulated a letter or petition of some sort," Bauer said. "I'm told it had over 150 signatures."
