      STOCKTON - Prospective jurors summoned for a lengthy civil trial got a sympathetic hearing when they pleaded financial hardship to San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Lauren P. Thomasson.
      "I'm paying two mortgages," one told the judge, explaining why a month in the jury box away from her job would spell economic peril.
