Judge Keith Davis said the best advice he ever got was to keep moving.

"No matter how much you like your assignment, every three years - change it," Davis recalled an older jurist telling him. Those are words the 55-year-old San Bernardino Superior Court judge has taken to heart, even when it clashes with his instinct to stay put.
