LANCASTER — A woman before Judge Fernando Aenlle-Rocha had committed a misdemeanor, but she faced a longer jail term because she’d done so while on felony probation.

She cried as she pleaded — multiple times — not to be remanded, saying she had children at home. But the judge held firm, explaining the woman had to be taken into custody for two weeks while he reviewed her probation report.
