MONTEREY PARK — At the Edmund D. Edelman Children’s Court, Judge Margaret Henry oversees the only courtroom for nonminors.

On paper, they’re 18 to 21, but their path to adulthood has been anything but normal.

“This is a courtroom for youth who did not get adopted or go back to their parents before age 18,” Henry said.
