STOCKTON — An avid birdwatcher, Judge Elizabeth Humphreys says her current assignment allows her to enjoy her hobby at least once a day.

“Sometimes, in the afternoon, I have two hawks fly on the wind currents outside of my chambers,” she said. “It’s an absolutely wonderful sight to behold.”
