SAN LUIS OBISPO — A family law commissioner for nearly a decade, Gayle Peron wanted to keep the assignment even after she was appointed judge.
“In family law, you’re doing true judging,” she said. “You’re the decision maker, and so you’re judging people’s credibility. You’re making decisions sometimes about very huge assets. You’re dealing with people’s children.”
