LOS ANGELES -- It took about a year for Judge Miguel Espinoza to get appointed to the bench, but it took a decade for him to write his first book.

The title, shortened a bit, is "The Integration of the UCLA School of Law," compiled from interviews with many alumnus of various minority backgrounds admitted in the early days of affirmative action. One of them was his dad, retired Judge Peter Espinoza.
