SAN JOSE — Growing up in war-torn Iran in the mid-1980s, Judge Panteha Saban didn’t know if she’d live to see another day let alone a courtroom.
She was 7during the Iran-Iraq war and recalled spending most nights in a basement with her family, hoping to survive the bombing.
