DUBLIN -- Alameda County Commissioner Tamiza A. Hockenhull's first experience in court was a witness, a 12-year-old girl testifying in case brought by her father against his insurance company over coverage for a serious auto accident.

She and her younger brother, along with her father and his girlfriend, were badly hurt when their car was crushed by an uninsured driver.
