HAYWARD — A fan of miniature war-gaming since his youth, Judge Jason Clay’s favorite set of tiny soldiers is his recreation of the Anglo-Zulu War.

The miniatures stand from 15 to 25 millimeters in height with the British army on one side, armed with Martini Henry rifles, while the Zulu warriors defend their lands with traditional assegai spears and cow-hide shields.
