SAN JOSE — Judge Cindy Hendrickson grew up with 10 siblings, but some aren’t from her hometown in Virginia.
“My parents came of age, I would say, during the Korean War, ... and so they thought, ‘Well, we know stories of kids being left behind, orphaned because of the war,’” she said. “Their first thought was to adopt a child from Korea.”
