HAYWARD — When Judge Clifford Blakely Jr. was a defense lawyer in Sacramento, his father worked for the district attorney, but not as a litigator.
“A lot of prosecutors that I knew had him as their process server,” Blakely said.
Before that, Blakely’s father was a globe-trotting member of the U.S. Air Force, which led to his son being born in South Korea.
